About Sarah-Louise

With more than a decade of experience in occupational therapy across Australia, the UK, and Europe, Sarah-Louise Higgins is a respected clinical educator and National Head of Clinical Development. She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Occupational Therapy from the University of Northampton, United Kingdom, and completed an international exchange at JAMK University in Finland.

Sarah-Louise’s career spans roles in community hospitals and home care, always with a strong commitment to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach for optimal client outcomes. She has taught best practice in pressure care for NSW hospitals and delivered manual handling training to large organisations, equipping teams with practical skills for safer care.

Her professional background includes years as an assistive technology advisor, predominantly within the home care and rehabilitation settings. Sarah-Louise is passionate about occupational therapy in the adult sector, with a keen interest in dementia care and mental health. She has extensive experience supporting people with progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease, and MS, always focusing on enhancing quality of life.
