Positive Quality of Life Assessment - Presented by Ashley Allen-Skinner
Jul 31, 2025This one-hour presentation introduces NDIS behaviour support practitioners and allied health professionals to the Positive Quality of Life (PQOL) assessment as a valuable tool in person-centred practice. The session will explore how assessing quality of life domains—such as social inclusion, emotional wellbeing, autonomy, and personal development—can guide the development of behaviour support plans that go beyond reducing behaviours of concern to actively enhancing a participant’s overall wellbeing. Attendees will gain practical insights into how to use the PQOL framework to identify unmet needs, support goal setting, and measure outcomes that reflect meaningful life improvements. Emphasis will be placed on culturally responsive, strengths-based approaches and the integration of participant voice in the assessment process.
